Our project


Strengthen of EU-Turkey Business Bridges Through More Cooperation and Comprehension of EU. The project started on 01.04.2019. The project duration is 15 months. The project budget is 159.973,04 EUR.

Overall Objective
Strengthening the chambers and business people through establishing mutual cooperation substructure amongthe chambers and business people.


Specific Objectives


  • Creating and improving cooperationbetween Samsun and the EU SMEs for understanding the EU issues
  • Making business people well supported regarding EU market access issues by increasingthe role of Chambers in EU-Turkey dialogue.
  • Reinforcing the service capacity of our Samsun Chamber of Commerce and Industry on EU based, EU acquis and SME internalization services by utilizing from the experience of the Czech Chamber of Commerce.

Expected Results


  • Selecting 40 SMEsthat have the potential to access to the EU market, defining their deficiencies and needs on the EU acquis and the EU issues, consulting to SMEs and preparing export roadmap for them
  • Raising awareness of SMEs on the EU acquis and the EU issues
  • 40 women and/or young unemployed people will have comprehensive knowledge on international trade in particular with EU acquis, EU market, they will be educated in order to be employed in these SMEs to provide specialized access to EU market and EU acquis services
  • Training 40 women and/or young unemployed people on foreign trade and access to the EU market, and providing them the opportunity to be employed at the SMEs in the region following the training
  • 200 SMEs will participate to the seminars on the EU acquis and the EU issues.
  • Establishing a cooperation substructure among the Samsun CCI, Czech Chamber of Commerce and their members in order to share knowledge on EU issues

Foreign Markets Training for women and young


Training program on the EU acquis, entering to the EU and Foreign Markets for 40 unemployed youngpeople /women

The participants of this activity will receive 10 days of education on foreign trade, particularly on access to the EU market.

40 women and/or young unemployed people will be trained on the EU acquis, and the EU market in order to be employed in the regional SMEs to provide specialized access to the EU market and EU acquis services.


Professional Consultancy for SMEs


Professional Consultancy and Roadmap Design for the Selected 40 SMEs

40 SMEs who have great potential in internalization will be selected and professional consultancy and roadmap design on international trade and acces to EU market will be provided.


Study Visits


Study Visits of Samsun CCI to Prague. A delegation (10-15 people) of Samsun CCI Executive Board, the representatives of stakeholders in our region, the SMEs exğporting to the EU etc.

Joint Awareness Raising Seminars


We are also aiming to enhance the awareness regarding the opportunities and challenges that are awaiting the SMEs of our region during Turkey’s road on accession to the EU together with our project partner. In order to achieve this, we are planning to organize with our project partner joint awareness raising seminars in Samsun as mentioned above. These seminars will mainly focus on EU market access issues, the EU acquis, the opportunities that are opening after adopting the acquis, challenges that the Czech business community has experienced, how they overcame them and what benefits they have gained through overcoming the issues they have met. The best practice knowledge the Czech Chamber of Commerce has, will enlighten the SMEs of our region regarding the challenges they are going to face during Turkey’s road of accession to the EU.
